with todays technology, i can save loot on craigslist by monitoring prices for wave runners, toyota tacomas and condo rentals all within specific regions and price ranges, and buying when i see the perfect deal without scrolling through pages of listings each day and seeing ads. i see it thru rss on my google home page
lets face it - scraping technology is the future. what are the biggest sites on the net? google, which is a scraper. myspace is a kind of scraper too, with its bulletins, and facebook is too.
what if you could add some of your wish list and anytime something your stalking to buy online dropped in price for the day for a sale, you were beeped on your cell and emailed. you can also monitor it yourself to see auction items pop up in your rss
My new personal little project PriceBeep is a web2.0 shopping site I came up with, and since Im open Ill go ahead and tell you that although its not finished now, when its working it will let you track that stuff you shop that is time sensitive - wether its your moms lui vuitton purse or your girlfriends new blackberry pearl, you can track prices each day on sites like craigslist and others to make sure you get it when its lowest. It will beep you when your products drop in price!
I need people interested in developing it more with me, and as you can see all I have so far is a design and a concept for it using craigslist rss features.
Suggestions and comments welcome , thanks! oh and the logo was made by chris hooley, thanks bro!
